I guess the problem is not with the committee per se, but with how the rules have been passed. Judiciary took it on themselves to bring in the changes, however it is the job of the legislative.

Moreover, both the CEC and SC judges sit on the same Order of Precedence. SC has a problem with legislative being a part of the committee to decide appointment of judges, so how can they solely act on the procudure of appointment iof CEC.
